Gurpreet has over 20 years of broad cross-functional leadership experience in the technology industry in roles ranging from strategic business planning and management, business development, product development, management and marketing.
Gurpreet was the first Product Manager on board at Pure Storage as the company went from near zero revenue to more than $500 million in annual revenues during the three and half years that he was there. During his time there, he built out the product management and technical marketing functions at Pure Storage and was responsible for overall Product Strategy, Roadmap and Core Positioning, Strategic Business Planning, Business Models and GTM Programs amongst other things.
Prior to that, he has served in various capacities at companies like Riverbed, Brocade, Microsoft and Cisco amongst others.
Gurpreet holds an MBA from Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley and an MSEE from UCLA.
VR Satish is the Chief Technology Officer at Pavilion Data Systems and brings more than 20 years of experience in enterprise storage software products. Prior to joining Pavilion Data, he was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Artiman Ventures. Satish was an early employee of Veritas and later served as the Vice President and the Chief Technology Officer for the Information & Availability Group at Symantec Corporation prior to joining Artiman. His current areas of interest include distributed computing, information-centric storage architectures and virtualization. Satish holds multiple patents in storage management, and earned his Master’s degree in computer science from the University of Florida.
Sundar is the Co-founder of Pavilion Data Systems and brings more than 15 years of enterprise data center and software development expertise to the company. Prior to Pavilion Data, he was a founding engineer and Director of Engineering at SeaMicro (AMD) where he led the software development of the industry leading converged appliance products SM10000 and SM15000. Prior to SeaMicro, he held key engineering positions at successful startups Aruba Wireless Networks & ONI Systems.
David is Vice President of Finance at Pavilion Data Systems and brings over 27 years of financial management experience. Prior to joining Pavilion, David was the Chief Financial Officer for Advantel Networks. His prior roles include the senior finance executive for GridIron Systems, Tribal Brands, Facetime Communications, and Consentry Networks where he built world class accounting, finance, legal and human resource departments.
He has also served in senior financial roles at Fortinet, Extreme Networks and BEA Systems, contributing to their successful IPOs while helping scale controls and processes during the companies' high growth phases.
David holds a BS in Finance from San Diego State University.
Farzad is Vice President of Global Customer Support, with over 20 years of leadership experience across Enterprise, Government and IT Managed Services accounts worldwide. He is responsible for the vision, strategy, implementation and execution of Pavilion Data Customer Experience and Support. Farzad comes to Pavilion Data from Vexata, where he was the VP of Support & Services. Prior to that he held several senior positions at Virident (acquired by Western Digital), Rainfinity (acquired by DellEMC), Persist Technologies (acquired by HPE) and BEA Systems (IPO 1997). Farzad holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from San Jose State University.
Costa is the Chief Field Technology Officer at Pavilion Data Systems and brings over 35 years of experience in IT hardware, software and solutions experience including over 20 years of experience in the storage industry. His experience ranges from executive leadership roles in sales, technical sales, services, field product marketing/solution development all focused on understanding the needs of customers and “solving real world problems with technologies”.
Prior to joining Pavilion, Costa has had many executive leadership roles in the storage/server industry. From the President of Equus Compute Solutions as a white box server manufacturer, to World Wide VP of Storage Sales at IBM, to 10 years as Americas CTO for Hitachi Data System, to World Wide Vice President of Services and Solutions for McData/Computer Network Technologies. In these roles he has sold and designed storage solutions for some of the largest enterprises in the world including: Google/YouTUBE, eBay, PayPal, Allstate Insurance, Walmart to several of the largest financial institutions in the world as well as the largest health insurance provider in the United States. Costa has been involved in the storage industry since the start of shared storage and SAN’s. In fact, Costa started his storage career as the General Manager of Imation's Storage Area Network testing and interoperability lab in 1999 when shared storage solutions were just coming to market.
Costa has also served on several as an advisory to several VC’s and Private Equity backed companies.
Costa holds a BS in Computer Science from Iowa State University.
As Pavilion's Chief Marketing Officer, Amy Love brings over 25 years of experience building leading technology brands in both Fortune 500 and startup environments. Recent executive positions held by Love before Pavilion include vice president of corporate marketing at TriNet, and CMO at Violin Memory. Previously, she served as vice president of global brand and demand generation, acting CMO and vice president of brand and communication at NetApp, Inc. Earlier in her career, Love was the global vice president of marketing and business development at PicScout, which secured a successful exit with an acquisition by Getty Images. She also served as CEO for the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives (now Watermark), the leading executive women's membership organization.
Love holds two Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Management and Marketing from Texas Tech University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Ajay is Vice President of Operations with 20+ years of leadership experience in delivering global operational excellence. He is responsible for setting strategy and executing both the manufacturing (Planning, Supply Chain Management, Operations Engineering, Order Management and Logistics) and business functions (HR, Finance, IT, Facilities). Previously Ajay was Vice President of Operations at Springpath Inc. which was acquired by Cisco Systems. Prior to that he held senior leadership positions at AMD, Nimble Storage (acquired by HPE), Omneon Video (acquired by Harmonic Inc). Ajay holds an M.S. in Engineering Management and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University.
Mike Tanner is Regional Vice-President Federal Sales at Pavilion. He has over 25 years of sales leadership experience within the data management industry, including 10 years at Hitachi Vantara, where he was the founder, President and CEO of Hitachi Vantara Federal. Prior to that time, Tanner also served as the Director of Federal Storage sales at HPE among other roles during his 7 years at the company. He has also held sales leadership positions at Xerox and Tandem Computers.
Tanner holds a Masters in Systems Management degree from the University of Southern California, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from East Carolina University.
Ton leads EMEA sales and operations team. He has a 20+ year track record of success in enterprise and channel sales leadership roles and has worked at several hyper-growth companies in the EMEA region, including Data Domain, EMC, Hitachi Data Systems and Pure Storage. Ton holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the Vrije University Amsterdam Netherlands.
